As i cannot speak for this topic because im a “MAN” , i will let the ladies speak their feelings, violent reactions hehehehe. For some countries like India and the likes where some practices, laws etc. for women are still in practice, it is quite unfair for them, (some comments i got from a friend) but if you realy loved badminton you will do what ever it takes ,else do your thing and leave badminton 
. BWF or Badminton World Federation wants this rule to be implemented next month. Reason is to advertise , to promote,to look elegant for ladies, and additional sponsors. Lately badminton prizes are increasing (1M dollars) maybe one of the reasons.
